Water As a Health Drink

One of the best health drinks out there is water. No matter what kind you drink bottle or tap, water is the best drink for you because it is so beneficial for your body. Water is important for your body to function properly because your body needs to stay hydrated. If you are dehydrated you run a higher risk of medical problems, including memory problems.

Even though water is vital for your body to function properly, water doesn’t always contain the extra nutrients that your body needs to help stay healthy. In fact, most water that you drink doesn’t contain any nutrients that the body needs, but it does contain certain minerals that your body needs. The problem with water is that even though drinking it is important for your body, you cannot just drink any type of water because some water can do more harm than good.

Any water that you buy in the store is going to be safe to drink; likewise, all of the water in your house should be safe to drink. The problem is when you go camping or collect rainwater that water is not something that should be drank without first purifying it. Water from these natural sources often contain harmful pollutants that can make you sick, despite the fact this unpurified water has the best minerals in it because it has not been treated yet. The good news is that even after the water has been treated to make it safe to drink minerals like fluoride are often added to the water.

Minerals and nutrients are also added to certain types of bottled water, such as Vitamin water. Having the nutrients added to water that you buy from the store increases the number of people who drink water as health drinks because now there is some flavor added to the water, but they also see more clearly the health benefits of drinking this type of water.
